I CRIED. well i guess it's not a surprise, because i've known Ilana Tan as someone who can write a story that plays well with the reader's heart. and i think this book is BETTER than - if not as good as - the 4 Seasons series. the story is not that complicated actually, but the emotions are just unbelievable! i still can't believe how much i cried while finishing the book... i've been reading a lot of emotional books lately, but this one made me cry the most. so without further rant about my cry...more
I finished reading this book last weekend. I enjoyed it. Not as much as I enjoyed Ms. Tan’s previous novels… I don’t think there’s any particular difference between ‘Sunshine Becomes You’ and her 4 books prior to this. It seems too formulaic. I can’t decide whether this is a good thing or a bad thing for a writer. Does that means that the writer has not develop their writing skill thru the course of time? Sunshine Becomes You. This book is about out of stock in my town and it's hard to find. So< when I found it last night in the bookstore I bought it immediately. I love Ilana's books. They are special for me because of her ability to teel, to write a story which make me want to read it more and more... They are addicting.

first of all,this is my first time to write a review, so i would apologize first if i made a lot of grammatical errors and sound boring in writing.
well actually its not a new book but i think Sunshine becomes you is a wonderful story wrote. Ilana Tan, the author is good at describing the situation and the feelings of each character, and besides the stories end unpredictably with Mia's dead :(
I could even feel what Alex feel when he watch the videos. :(

Im sorry for the hardcore outhere, but honestly i give 2 stars because when i heard Ilana Tan was going to published a new book, i expect a masterpiece. I already read her 4 seasons work and i love all of them, but this book, i actually dissapointed. I dont know, its so thick. I force myself to complete this and whosh whosh its a very cruel ending. She gives us a little hope in the very last chapter just to throw us away, huft.
Just like winter in Tokyo, I'm sad until the following weeks.
eerrr, I damn in love with Ilana Tan.
The feeling come first when I start to read her tetralogy novel. So awesome. Then, I just get out to the near storebook when I knew this book launched.

I've always like the way Ilana Tan express her story. She doesn't use complicated words, nor street words, and that makes her books look smart.

Overall, Sunshine Becomes You is another good sad-ending novel.

I borrow this book from my friend, and i loved this book so much. But i feel a little disappointed with ilana tan. I feel like her writing became so boring, and most of the words are same, she used the same words for expressing the characters feeling, and just said that 'blalala i don't know' hm.. I would love to wait until the movie release and i think i will enjoy the movie tooooo :))

Another great story from Ilana Tan. I love the love triangle aspect of the book and the progression of the characters. Although this isn't my favorite book of hers, I'll always love Ilana's work and look forward to her next releases. I just wish she publish books more frequently but who am I to complain.
I dunno, I've always liked Illana Tan's books. But I would say that this book is just: ordinary.

No doubt, this is one of the best novels I have ever read. Totally love it. Because of this book, I went back to the book store the day after I bought this book to buy other novels by Ilana Tan.
I really like the way Ilana tell the story; ot was super easy and light. Too bad I left this book back in my home, which is 20 hours away by plane. I really want to re-read this amazing masterpiece.

have you ever watched 'Music and Lyrics' ? hmm. that movie has a same beginning with this novel. A pianist versus his 'maid'. I thought I could predict its ending. again and again, Ilana Tan always has a great way to twist the story. full of art thingy and yes, it feels like you spend your life in New York. so descriptive.

As always, Ilana Tan success made me fall in love with her writing style.. Simple but touching. Even this novel is not like Tetralogy of her novels before that made me crazy about main caracters, but one thing for sure she convince to reader that simple story can be beautiful. ^^
